A transient network issue resulted in some users being unable to access their mailboxes in Outlook on the Web.
Current Status:
Monitoring indicates that impact has now been remediated. Further investigation determined that a portion of the load-balancing infrastructure became degraded, resulting in user requests not being routed correctly. Staff continue to analyze and monitor the affected systems to help prevent this problem from recurring.

Microsoft has announced a problem with Office 365 email that would prevent affected individuals from accessing their email account. Microsoft staff are investigating. There have not yet been any reports of this problem at Cornell to the IT Service Desk.
Current Status:
No issues among the Cornell community have been reported to the IT Service Desk. Cornell staff are continuing to monitor the situation and an alert will be reopened if it appears that the problem is having any effect at the university.
