Unplanned Outage: Longview production system is unavailable

Resolved: Longview, the University's Budget Management tool, is currently unavailable. The overnight process must be run again, which will take a few hours. CIT will provide an update when the process has been rerun and the system is available again.

Resolved: Zoom appears to be suffering a widespread outage affecting all services and all Zoom domains (including vendor status pages). CIT is working with the vendor to resolve the issue. Please use Microsoft Teams while Zoom is unavailable.
Current Status:
Zoom service has been restored.

Zoom's status page says, "Monitoring - Services have been restored. If you are still having connection issues please flush your DNS cache and attempt to reconnect.

For Windows open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /flushdns"
For Mac open a terminal window and type "sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder"

Unplanned Outage: Google Workspace unable to send mail to external recipients

Brief Description:
Resolved: Google had automatically put some sending blocks in place due to unusual patterns in email activity while Cornell community members were traveling during spring break. These blocks will resolve on their own within about 24 hours.
Current Status:
The issue is resolved.  However, CIT is working with Google Support to understand why their security processes changed and to prevent this from happening again. We explained that travel is normal for our Google Workspace users, and we are actively collaborating with Google to find a long-term solution.

Resolved: For Exchange Online customers, Microsoft is proceeding to release incorrectly quarantined email messages back to users’ inboxes to fully remediate the incident that is not yet resolved.
Current Status:
Microsoft has adjusted the detection metrics to prevent this from occurring for future email messages, and are releasing affected email messages that were incorrectly quarantined back to users’ inboxes.
