Performance Issue: Some AWS Customers Experiencing Increased Errors

Brief Description:
Some Cornell AWS users may be experiencing issues with individual AWS services. This may also cause performance issues and outages for services that rely on AWS. The vendor is actively working to resolve the issue.
Current Status:
Amazon has resolved the issue. All services are now operating normally. The vendor identified the root cause of the Kinesis Data Streams event and completed immediate actions to prevent recurrence.

Performance Issue: Video on Demand and Kaltura Delays

Clipping of some entries created more than 48 hours ago within Kaltura Video Editor is currently unavailable. There may also be delays in Video on Demand (VOD) entries receiving automatic machine-generated captions.
Current Status:
The vendor has applied a fix for the Kaltura Video Editor clipping issue, which is believed to be resolved, though the vendor is still monitoring to ensure service. Kaltura also applied a fix for the automatic machine-generated captions delay. Some delays may still be present for a few hours as the system catches up on the captioning backlog.

Performance Issue: Some Zoom Cloud Recordings Not Appearing in Video on Demand

Brief Description:
Some Zoom users' cloud recordings may not have appeared in the Video on Demand (VOD) service. The issue appears to have been limited to recordings from 11/4/2020. CIT is working with the vendors to resolve the issue.
Current Status:
The Video on Demand vendor, Kaltura, has worked with Zoom and determined that the issue appears to have been limited to recordings from 11/4/2020. Kaltura will continue to investigate the best way to restore missing content. Users whose Zoom Cloud Recordings have not appeared in Video on Demand outside this time frame, or who encounter this in the future, should contact the IT Service Desk at it.cornell.edu/support.

Performance Issue: Zoom Meetings Scheduled in v5.3.2 Creating Blank Outlook Entries

Some Mac users are reporting that, after upgrading to the Zoom 5.3.2 desktop client, when they schedule new meetings with client’s Schedule button, the Outlook Calendar entry created is blank.

Performance Issue: Microsoft Teams Video and Windows Defender

Individuals trying to launch a Microsoft Teams video meeting may get an error message from Windows Defender, "Windows Defender has blocked some features of this app." Users who don't have admin privileges should select Cancel then reinitiate the call.

Performance Issue: Qualtrics Email Time Inconsistencies

There have been reports of issues with time settings when using the Qualtrics Mailer. These include mailings set to "Send Now" being scheduled for an hour later.
Current Status:
Qualtrics has reported this issue is resolved. Testing indicates that "Send Now" emails are now going out immediately instead of being scheduled for an hour later.

Members of the Cornell community attempting to create a Qualtrics account by signing in for the first time through surveys.cornell.edu are getting a message, "we were unable to process your username or your username doesn't exist in our system."
Current Status:
Qualtrics staff report that they temporarily suspended account autoprovisioning due to suspicious activity on a single account. Account creation should occur automatically again.

There is an outage of PeopleSoft Production services. IBM Technicians are working on the issue to restore service as soon as possible. The issue is affecting multiple IBM customers. It is not specific to Cornell.
