On Sunday, March 30, 2025, CIT will enable the following approved components of Zoom AI Companion:
- Meeting Summary can create an AI-generated summary of the Zoom meeting, which hosts are expected to review for accuracy before sharing with others;
- In-Meeting Questions, which provide an interactive panel that allows participants to ask questions about meeting content and get AI-generated responses based on the meeting transcript; and
- Smart Recording, which creates a cloud recording with AI-determined highlights.
Meeting Summary and In-Meeting Questions are available by default and can be activated with the AI Companion button in the host’s Zoom toolbars. Smart Recordings can be enabled by hosts for their own meetings in their Zoom account settings; once enabled by a host, all cloud recordings started by that host will be Smart Recordings.
Be aware that disabling Zoom AI Companion in your own Zoom account settings will not affect the ability of other hosts to use the feature in their own meetings.
