The university is running low on Office 365 A3 licenses, meaning some new employees may not be fully licensed. When this occurs, the account can't get Office 365 Pro Plus or administer Bookings sites. If this happens, contact the IT Service Desk.
Cornell staff have been identifying accounts which are assigned A3 licenses but not using any of the features that license has but A1 does not. Once identified, those accounts are switched from A3 to A1 licenses, which should cause no change in experience for the account holder, and frees up an A3 license to be used for new hires. Cornell IT staff are also readying an effort to apply licenses from a different license pool that are not being used, and which should likewise free more A3 licenses.
