For some individuals, the search function in Outlook Web Access (http://exchange.cornell.edu) is not working correctly.

The search function for Outlook Web Access has been temporarily disabled for Exchange accounts that are hosted on mbxc (about a third of Exchange accounts). \n\nAffected individuals who attempt to search in Outlook Web Access may see a yellow banner at the top explaining the error. Also, searches may be incomplete, only finding older items.\n\nCIT has disabled the search function in an effort to minimize performance problems while we work to resolve underlying storage issues with mbxc. The search indexing process was re-enabled for mailbox server mbxc at noon today. By this point, the search function in Outlook Web Access should be returning accurate results for all users.
