On March 17, 2025, CIT confirmed reports that the Verizon cellular network is experiencing an outage impacting all of campus including cell towers and indoors. Verizon escalated the issue with FirstLight. CIT continued monitoring Verizon's outage and restoration progress.
On March 18, one of the CIT community members shared a screenshot of Verizon's announcement that data, voice, text and wireless home internet had been restored.
