Brief Description:
On Tuesday, March 18 between 5am and 7am ET CIT Network Services will move all Ithaca Campus wireless networks (eduroam, RedRover, and Cornell Visitor) to new DHCP server infrastructure. During this time DHCP services will be intermittently unavailable.
User Impact:
During this window the DHCP service will be intermittently unavailable. Client devices attempting to obtain or renew DHCP leases during the times the DHCP service is unavailable will fail to obtain an IP address. Once the DHCP service is restored, client devices will be able to obtain or renew DHCP leases, as usual. DHCP lease states will be copied over to the new servers to minimize disruptions.
