It is possible that the change will not involve any interruption, but we are investigating this with the vendor. It is likely that the change will result in a prompt to end user to re-authenticate the Zoom for Outlook add-in (something which occurs periodically already and may not be identifiable as a consequence of the change). Based on the outcome of the first change attempt, and subsequent investigation, there is slightly higher confidence that there should be no other new impact to users.

Microsoft is deprecating Outlook legacy tokens with their introduction of a new authentication protocol, Nested App Authentication (NAA). The deprecating of Outlook legacy tokens will impact the Zoom for Outlook add-in's s ability to access calendar data. 

To ensure continued functionality of the Zoom for Outlook add-in, it is necessary to transition the add-in's authentication to NAA. This is a rescheduled change, to take place Thursday, February 6, 2025, between 2:30pm and 3:00pm. The previous change was rolled back on January 31, 2025.
