Brief Description:
On Tuesday, January 7th between 5:00am and 7:00am CIT Network Services will move all Ithaca Campus wireless networks (eduroam, RedRover, and Cornell Visitor) to new DHCP server infrastructure. Impact: Ithaca campus DHCP service intermittently unavailable.
User Impact:
During this window the DHCP service will be intermittently unavailable on the Ithaca campus. Client devices attempting to obtain or renew DHCP leases during the times the DHCP service is unavailable will fail to obtain an IP address. Once the DHCP service is restored, client devices will be able to obtain or renew DHCP leases, as usual. DHCP lease states will be copied over to the new servers to minimize disruptions.
