Brief Description:
On Sunday, November 24, 2024 we will enable the Recyclebin feature in the Video On Demand (VOD) service.
User Impact:
VOD users with read/write permissions (staff/faculty) will see a new "My Recycle Bin" entry under the user drop-down menu where they can access and use the Recycle bin feature

Full Description:
At this time, we will be enabling the Recyclebin feature in the Video On Demand (VOD) service. Heretofore, content deleted from the VOD was deleted immediately and was (largely) unrecoverable once deleted. With the Recyclebin feature enabled, any deleted content will be held in the Recyclebin for 30 days, from which users can recover/restore deleted media. 

Users who do not wish content to be held in a recoverable state will also be able to remove individual entries from the Recyclebin (deleting them immediately) or empty the Recyclebin, deleting all entries in the bin immediately.
