Brief Description:
Resolved: At 13:47:49 on Thursday, November 14th an optical transponder failed on the link between Ithaca and Syracuse. Traffic re-routed to an alternate path, but connectivity was intermittent for about 90 seconds.
User Impact:
For about 90 seconds the wired network was unavailable.
Workaround:
There is no workaround for this issue
Current Status:
A workaround has restored service. Follow up maintenance is scheduled to return the link to its original state.

Full Description:
Resolved: At 13:47:49 on Thursday, November 14th an optical transponder failed on the link between Ithaca and Syracuse. Traffic re-routed to an alternate path, but connectivity was intermittent for about 90 seconds as routing protocols converged. All services were restored by moving to a spare transponder wave. A follow up maintenance will be scheduled to return the link to its original state.
