RESOLVED: Microsoft has resolved the earlier performance issues that impacted some individuals. Restarting a session should address any lingering Outlook behaviors like stalling and crashing.

Previously, CIT investigated reports of individual issues of Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook web and desktop. Microsoft was aware of the issues and working to resolve them. Some of the reported behaviors include stalling, crashing, and other errors, despite clearing caches and restarting.

Microsoft resolved the issues with a configuration change and recommended individuals impacted by the earlier issues take these action to apply the configuration changes and remediate the impact:
  • Outlook client and app users should restart their client or app to apply Microsoft's changes.
  • Outlook on the web users should refresh their sessions. If that does not mitigate the issue, users are encouraged to clear their browser cache and refresh their Outlook on the web session.
