Event:
2024-08-08 05:00:00
Expected Duration:
2024-08-08 07:00:00
Status:
Closed
Brief Description:
On Thursday, August 8, 2024, a new client version of AnyConnect will be deployed. The CUVPN client is called "Cisco Secure Client" (formerly "AnyConnect").
User Impact:
Upon CUVPN log-in, a window will appear indicating a new Cisco Secure Client (CSC) is being downloaded and upgraded. When finished, the new version launches and logs the client into CUVPN automatically. Unlike the upgrade from AnyConnect to Cisco Secure Client, users do not need to approve machine privileges if they have already upgraded to Cisco Secure Client 5.1 Windows machines running Start Before Login (SBL) (aka GINA) module will have the pre-launch driver updated. A pop-up will ask if the user wants to reboot to reload that module. It is not necessary to immediately reboot, but the user should reboot to use the SLB module.
Services Affected:
Network
Subsites Affected:
