Brief Description:
On Sunday, August 11, 2024, between 5am and 11am, CIT Network Engineering will upgrade the code on all campus Managed Firewall Appliances, including those that serve the CIT server farm and wireless networks.
User Impact:
- CIT data centers: two reboots, the devices are in a HA pair. Brief outages during reboots.
- All other Managed Firewalls: dual outage of 10 minutes each.

On Sunday, August 11, 2024, between 5am and 11am, CIT Network Engineering will upgrade the code on all campus Managed Firewall Appliances, including those that serve the CIT server farm and wireless networks. There will be two reboots, each lasting 10 minutes. This will result in complete outages for unit-owned campus networks on the Ithaca, Geneva, and NY Tech campuses for the duration of the reboots. There will also be multiple brief interruptions for the CIT server farm and wireless networks behind redundant Managed Firewall pairs.
