On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Cornell will extend the requirement for Two-Step Login (Duo) authentication to all university web applications that require Cornell login with CUWebLogin (Shibboleth). Alumni will not be impacted by this change.

Full Description:
On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Cornell will extend the requirement for Two-Step Login (Duo) authentication to all university web applications that require Cornell login with CUWebLogin (Shibboleth). Faculty and student users have previously only been required to do so for mission critical resources like Workday and Faculty Center.
The Duo authentication process itself will not change. Users already enrolled in Duo can expect to use the same authentication devices and methods when signing in that they have previously used.
A direct email communication will be sent to a list of users who are not currently enrolled in Duo and who will be affected by the July change.
Any faculty, student, retiree, or other users who have not previously used Two-Step Login to authenticate their sign-ins to Cornell services should be directed to information about enrolling and setting up the service at Two-Step Login webpage. Specific instructions for enrolling in the service can be found at https://it.cornell.edu/twostep/get-started-two-step-login-quick-guide .
Note that alumni, whose access to Cornell applications after graduation is limited, will not be affected by this change.
