Brief Description:
On August 5, 2023, Windows, Mac, Linux, and Blackberry devices will need to update to version 5.12 (or greater) prior to August 5 to avoid sign in issues to the Zoom client or to Zoom Rooms. Zoom will be enforcing a new minimum version every 3 months.
User Impact:
Individuals or accounts with Zoom versions older than the new quarterly lifecycle minimums will be required to update the Zoom meeting client to the current minimum version before they can sign in or join a meeting/webinar. There is no impact to Zoom clients which meet the minimum version requirements.

On August 5, 2023, Windows, Mac, Linux, and Blackberry devices will need to update to version 5.12 (or greater) prior to August 5 to avoid sign in issues to the Zoom client or to Zoom Rooms. Zoom will be enforcing a new minimum version every 3 months.

Zoom Clients and Zoom Rooms that do not meet the new minimum requirements will be prompted to update the Zoom software to the current minimum version before they can sign in or join a meeting/webinar. If unable to immediately update, they will be provided the option to join a meeting through the web client instead.
To avoid disruption with scheduled meetings, individuals should update to the latest Zoom and Zoom Room clients prior to August 5, 2023.
