Brief Description:
Cornell’s PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system will be migrated from the current external provider to Cornell’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment between Thursday, March 3, and Sunday, March 6, 2022, resuming service on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 7:00am.
User Impact:
The PeopleSoft Production application and dependent services will be unavailable to users from approximately 6:00pm on 3/03/2022 until approximately 7:00am on 3/07/2022.

Full Description:
The migration of Cornell’s PeopleSoft Production system will begin TODAY, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 5:00pm, and continue through the weekend.

PeopleSoft will be available again on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 7:00am.

Communicating with the Project Team
- During the cutover period (March 3 – March 6), please submit tickets about issues to the PeopleSoft Managed Services and Hosting project at pshost@cornell.edu. You may be invited to the team’s 11:30am daily ticket review if there is a need to gather additional information.

Services Unavailable During the Maintenance Window
During system maintenance:
- Starting at 5:00pm (ET) this evening, the PeopleSoft system, Student and Faculty Center, and ePay will be unavailable.
- Friday, March 4, specific project leads involved in the migration effort will be granted access to PeopleSoft Production at IBM. Please be aware that for the specific users granted access during the migration window, updates made to the IBM PeopleSoft Production system data will NOT be carried forward to the new AWS system.
- The Daily Check website will be online but not all features will be available. Gating of Canvas and enrollment will not be active during the cutover.
- The Student Essentials website will be available, though features that read and update PeopleSoft data will be unavailable.
- The Cornell Emergency Notification Personal Contact Preference webpage will be read-only and will not allow updates to user emergency notification contact preferences.
- A final load of the Student and Alumni data marts from the current system will take place at the end of the day, today (March 3), prior to the cutover. The next load will take place the evening of Monday, March 7.

Advise users to complete any time-sensitive tasks that cannot wait until Monday before 5:00pm today, before the migration process begins.

Normal service will be restored on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 7:00am. During the March 3-6 maintenance window, the following will be unavailable or read-only: - Cornell Emergency Notification Personal Contact Preference page will be read-only and will not be available to update user emergency notification contact preferences. - Daily Check will be online but not all features will be available. (Gating of Canvas and enrollment will not be active during the cutover.) - Student Center and Faculty Center will be unavailable. - Student Essentials will be available, though features that read and update PeopleSoft data will be unavailable. - PeopleSoft system users will be granted access to IBM PeopleSoft Production after the database extract, but should NOT make any updates to data.
