Brief Description:
On Sunday, August 29, 2021, between 8:00 and 9:00am, we will make requested accessibility improvements to the Kaltura player used by the Video Hosting & Sharing / Video On Demand (VOD) service.
User Impact:
After the change, the "CC" menu in the Kaltura player will show an additional menu selection for changing the caption options (font, size, color, background). After the change, the playback speed selector will show and additional selection for 0.85x speed.

On Sunday, August 29, 2021, between 8:00 and 9:00am, we will make requested accessibility improvements to the Kaltura player used by the Video Hosting & Sharing / Video On Demand (VOD) service. These changes are:
- Enabling caption options for the player. This will add an options menu that will allow viewers to select the font, size, color, and background for captions.
- An additional playback speed option of 0.85x will be added.
Current caption configuration settings on VOD players will be updated to include these changes. Back-up copies of the players will be made in the event of issues or rollback being required.
