Brief Description:
Email users may be unable to forward or receive external email.
User Impact:
Student users concerned about mail that may not have been forwarded have an Office 365 mailbox where they can read or retrieve any mail that was not forwarded, at https://outlook.office.com/ (sign in with Cornell credentials). Faculty or staff users who have followed CIT recommendations to keep a copy of their email in their Office 365 Mailbox can do so as well. If faculty or staff have chosen to forward only, without keeping a copies of email in Office 365, they will need to contact the sender to have the affected mail re-sent. Alumni email accounts were not affected by this issue. Alumni email accounts use a different forwarding mechanism that was not affected.
