Brief Description:
Starting February 22, 2021, items in the Trash in Cornell Box will be deleted thirty days after they are discarded. This change from the current ninety-day retention is required to meet Cornell’s contractual obligations.
User Impact:
Files deleted on Box after this time will be retained in Trash for only 30 days. Files deleted before that will not be affected.

Starting February 22, 2021, items in the Trash in Cornell Box will be deleted thirty days after they are discarded. This change from the current ninety-day retention is required to meet Cornell’s contractual obligations. It also brings the Box’s Trash deletion setting in line with other Cornell services, such as Office 365 email’s Deleted Items.
