Brief Description:
There is currently an unplanned outage of Cornell Student Essentials (studentessentials.cornell.edu). The site is available, however, there is a database issue that prevents access to many components of the site. CIT and SSIT staff are investigating.
User Impact:
The Cornell Student Essentials site is experiencing a database issue that prevents access to many components of the site. The CS Gold system is unavailable. All services connected to CS Gold are offline. Micros and laundry readers will function in offline mode. Other services that connect to CS Gold (e.g., GET, Vending, CU Print) are currently offline. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
Workaround:
There is no workaround for this issue
Current Status:
Previously reported issues with CS Gold are believed to be resolved. All locations should be back on-line and all services restored. This issue involved the CS Gold Database going off-line. This impacted all point of sale and reader devices attach to CS Gold as well as all integrations. These included all GET app functions, Integrations with CU Print, Meal Plan enrollment, Student Essentials and so on.

The CS Gold system is unavailable. All services connected to CS Gold are offline. Micros and laundry readers will function in offline mode. Other services that connect to CS Gold (e.g., GET, Vending, CU Print) are currently offline.
