On Sunday, January 10, 2021, between 5:00am and noon, CIT Network Engineering will upgrade the Managed Firewall (MFW) infrastructure. During this window, most devices will be upgraded and rebooted 3 times, resulting in service outages of 10 minutes each.

Full Description:
On Sunday, January 10, 2021, between 5:00am and noon, CIT Network Engineering will upgrade the Managed Firewall (MFW) infrastructure to the latest recommended version of code. During the maintenance window, most devices will be upgraded and rebooted three times, resulting in service outages of 10 minutes each. The Managed Firewalls in Geneva Campus, 570 Lexington, and Ruffian will be migrated to new hardware already running the new code. The CIT Data Center Managed Firewalls will also reboot three times, but they are in an HA pair, providing a minimum amount of downtime.
Service outages will occur at the following locations:
- Geneva Campus, 570 Lexington, and Ruffian: Brief outage when migrating to new hardware.
- CIT Data Centers: Three reboots, but devices are in an HA pair. Brief outages will occur during reboots.
- All other Managed Firewalls: Three outages of 10 minutes each.
