Brief Description:
On Monday July 27th between 5:00am and 8:00am EST, CIT Network Engineering will reboot most campus switches, excluding the CIT data centers and the Isolated Utilities Network (IUN), to load new firmware, inducing a 5-10 minute downtime as switches reboot.
User Impact:
Wired and wireless connectivity will go down while the switches reboot, approximately 5-10 minutes. Hardware failures of a few devices are a known risk. Field Services will be engaged to address these. Outages that result from a hardware failure will take longer to remediate.

CIT Network Engineering will upgrade the firmware and reboot most campus switches on Monday July 27th between 5:00am and 8:00am EST. Both wired and wireless connectivity will be unavailable for approximately 5-10 minutes as the switches reboot. This change does NOT include the CIT data centers or the Isolated Utilities Network (IUN).
