On Thursday, July 16, 2020, for the "Only authenticated users can join meetings" option in Zoom, CIT is expanding the default Zoom "Cornell Users" domains to include Cornell email domains of "*.cornell.edu" (wildcard prefix) in addition to "cornell.edu".
User Impact:
After the update, all Cornell Zoom users will see the added "*.cornell.edu" domain if selecting the option for "Only authenticated users can join meetings - Cornell Users" when scheduling a new meeting. Already-scheduled meetings will not be changed and users will continue to be able to edit the allowed domains manually if they wish to do so.

On Thursday, July 16, 2020, for the "Only authenticated users can join meetings" option in Zoom, CIT is expanding the default Zoom "Cornell Users" domains to include Cornell email domains of "*.cornell.edu" (wildcard prefix) in addition to "cornell.edu". This will expand the default "Only authenticated users can join meetings" restriction to also allow Weill Cornell Medicine users (with "@med.cornell.edu" email address) and other Cornell Zoom users with accounts under an expanded email domain. Already-scheduled meetings will not be changed and users will continue to be able to edit the allowed domains manually if they wish to do so.
