Brief Description:
Between 2:35pm and 3:20pm EDT, a vendor issue prevented some users from logging in to Canvas. Users may have seen the following error after attempting to log in: “sso.canvaslms.com’s server IP address could not be found. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN”

Workaround:
There is no workaround for this issue
Current Status:
The issue is resolved. Users should be able to log in to Canvas now with normal system availability.

Full Description:
Between 2:35pm and 3:20pm EDT, a vendor issue prevented some users from logging in to Canvas.

Users may have seen the following error after attempting to log in: “sso.canvaslms.com’s server IP address could not be found. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN”

The incident was reported resolved by the vendor as of 2:50pm EDT. Users should be able to log in now with normal system availability.
