Brief Description:
DNSDB servers (providing DNS/DHCP data, network registry & management) will be down for patching on 6/17/2020 between 4 and 8 am. This outage will prevent new device registrations and NetAdmin update functions; ongoing DNS/DHCP will work as normal.
User Impact:
Outage prevents updates to DNS and DHCP for the duration; users cannot register new computers on RedRover, for example, and NetAdmins cannot make use of DNSdb add/delete/change/display functions.

Full Description:
On Wednesday, June 16th between 4am and 8am, DNSDB will be patched. DNSDB provides several functions including Network Registry, Network Quarantine, DNS data, CIT's DHCP data, and network management. A DNSDB server outage does not impact ongoing DNS or DHCP services, which are provided by separate servers. Outage prevents updates to DNS and DHCP for the duration; users cannot register new computers on RedRover, for example, and NetAdmins cannot make use of DNSdb add/delete/change/display functions.
