Brief Description:
Due to a critical security vulnerability, we have temporarily restricted access to EZ-Backup to campus IP space. This will prevent backups from completing for users who are off-campus. Code42 is not affected, nor are servers on campus that use EZ-Backup.
Current Status:
The upgrade occurred and service is again available to off-campus computers.

Code42 is not affected, nor are servers on campus that use EZ-Backup. | In order to address critical security issues and restore EZ-Backup services to off-campus computers, from 7am to 5pm on Friday, May 1, 2020, CIT will upgrade Spectrum Protect (EZ-Backup), with an update to both the database engine and application. Backup, Restore, Archive, Retrieve, or other EZ-Backup related processes run during this time will fail. There is a chance that after the upgrade, some individual clients may stop connecting to the server. If this occurs: Upgrade the client to the latest version. (Note: The client will not run on decades-old operating systems such as Windows 2008 or RHEL 5.) Sign in to the system and run the GUI or CLI client to re-enter the password.
