Expected Duration:
2020-04-22 21:30:00
Status:
Closed
Brief Description:
On Wednesday, April 22, 2020, CIT will turn off an old integration between Google Calendar and Zoom. This change is expected to affect few, if any, Cornell Zoom users.
User Impact:
If any users are using (a sampling of API connections did not show any) the legacy Zoom-Google Calendar integration, it would stop working The impact would be the same under the vendor's API v1 ending on April 26.
Services Affected:
Web and Video Conferencing
Full Description:
On Sunday, April 26, 2020, Zoom will be turning off v1 of its API. This change is expected to affect few, if any, Cornell Zoom users, but anyone in the Cornell community who experiences unexpected behavior from Zoom after that date should contact the IT Service Desk during normal business hours. To reduce the number of changes happening on that day, CIT will be turning off an option relating to it on Wednesday, April 22: an old integration between Google Calendar and Zoom. Since Google Calendar is not a supported service at the university and the option has never been promoted, the number of affected individuals should be low. For more information about the change, see Zoom's statement, which includes links to supporting documentation: https://github.com/zoom/api-v1
