Some Android users of the Two-Step Login (Duo) service have reported that Android push networks produce unsolicited notifications with the error message: "A WiFi or cellular network connection is required. Please check your network settings."

Workaround:
To be on the safe side, if you receive Duo push notifications when you are not trying to log in, please deny them and use the "report fraud" button.
Current Status:
Duo has confirmed that this issue is fixed to Android v 3.31.2. They recommend updating Duo Mobile to the latest version.

Some Android users of the Two-Step Login (Duo) service have reported a problem where Android push networks produce unsolicited notifications. These notifications report the error message: "A WiFi or cellular network connection is required. Please check your network settings." The notifications containing this error message may be confused with the push notifications used for authentication.


A new version of the Duo Mobile for Android app is scheduled to be released later this week or early next week to address this problem.
