To avert a major email outage, Friday afternoon 08 Oct 2010, a configuration change was made to Pure Message to quarantine email from @uqconnect.edu.au addresses with the subject 'Problems delivering your mail'. On Monday 11 Oct 2010 Pure Message was further changed to reject the email (rather than quarantine). These changes were made to break at least three very unusual email loops with uqconnect.edu.au that were discovered to have been looping 2500+ times since at least 14 Sep 2010.
