Brief Description:
The secondary, off-site copy of EZ-Backup data has delayed since approximately Thursday 6 June 10:00 Am due to repeated network issues that Cornell and Weill Medical College network engineers are working with vendors to resolve.
Current Status:
While vendor and Cornell staff continue to work over a longer term on the issue, information about its status is being moved to http://it.cornell.edu/ez-backup .

Simply put, the network to the EZ-Backup server and tape library at 575 Lexington is no longer functioning. In particular, the 10GB network unique to the EZ-Backup service from the 32 AofA site to the 575 Lex site is not functioning. After much diagnostic testing of equipment at 32 AofA and 575 Lex, issue appears to be in fiber strands connecting the buildings, though the 1GB networks used by Weill Med services that also use that fiber are fully functional, and supporting critical hospital systems.
