Scheduled Service Change: Printing (Net-Print): Move database servers

Event:
2018-10-30 11:00:00
Expected Duration:
2018-10-30 12:00:00
Status:
Closed
Brief Description:
To alleviate problems suspected to be related to the application server communicating to the database server, we are moving the PaperCut database servers out from behind the load balancer.
User Impact:
There will be a service outage of less than one hour during the maintenance window.
Services Affected:
Printing
Subsites Affected:
Room Scheduler
Full Description:
On Tuesday, October 30, the Net-Print Administration pages and PaperCut application will be unavailable for 1 hour, beginning at 7 am and ending 8 am. Users will be unable to print during this time.  This change will remove the production database servers out from behind the load balancer to improve connectivity to the applications.  Since there is no reason to have the load balancer, we are moving the database server to the same subnet as the application servers, thus eliminating the load balancer from the Net-Print architecture.
