Brief Description:
On Friday, June 8th between 7pm and 11:59pm WCMC will be upgrading the perimeter firewall on the WCMC campus. There will be periods of intermittent connectivity during this window.
User Impact:
Intermittent connectivity to WCMC during maintenance. The upgraded firewall and new IPS will improve our network security infrastructure, keeping your data safe when you’re connected to our network.

Full Description:
ITS will be upgrading our firewall, and installing a new intrusion protection system (IPS) on Friday, June 8th from 7 p.m. to midnight. While these security improvements are being made our internet services will be affected.
During the installation window, the connections between the WCM internal network and the internet may be intermittently unavailable. Users on the campus network may be temporarily unable to access internet resources, including WCM systems hosted in the cloud. Users outside the campus network may be temporarily unable to access resources on the WCM network, including connections to the WCM VPN.
What do you need to do?
Please plan accordingly. Complete any work in WCM web-based applications (e.g., Weill Business Gateway) prior to the downtime to avoid disruption.
