Some Cornell faculty and staff who have had a Cornell Google account for a long time may see "Your sign-in settings don't meet your organization's 2-Step Verification policy. Contact your admin for more info."

There is no workaround for this issue
Current Status:
Google 2-Step Verification is now required for Cornell Google accounts for faculty and staff to protect the accounts from online crime attempts.

Some Cornell faculty and staff who have had a Cornell Google account for a long time (for example, as a result of their having an alumni Cmail account) will see this alert when they try to sign in: "Your sign-in settings don't meet your organization's 2-Step Verification policy. Contact your admin for more info."
If you see this alert, contact the IT Service Desk ( https://it.cornell.edu/support ) to request a verification code, which will allow you to sign in to your Cornell Google account. After signing in, you will be prompted to enroll in Google 2-Step Verification. As of June 1, all Cornell Google accounts for faculty and staff require the use of Google 2-Step Verification.
