Brief Description:
Remedy outgoing e-mail spam/spoofing warnings is being added by Cornell’s e-mail service provider, "[This sender failed our fraud detection checks and may not be who they appear to be. Learn about spoofing at http://aka.ms/LearnAboutSpoofing]”.
User Impact:
This e-mail has also been sent to all Remedy users at Cornell University
Workaround:
There is no workaround for this issue
Current Status:
Steps have been taken to address this issue for Remedy and Identity Management app emails. Documentation is being worked on to address this subject in detail.

Outgoing e-mail sent from Cornell’s Remedy system is arriving at Cornell e-mail inboxes with an added warning, "[This sender failed our fraud detection checks and may not be who they appear to be. Learn about spoofing at http://aka.ms/LearnAboutSpoofing]”. The warning is being added by Cornell’s e-mail service provider.

The Remedy outgoing e-mails with the added warning includes confirmation emails to users who perform actions on netid.cornell.edu, applicantid.cornell.edu, ssl.cit.cornell.edu and serviceidmanager.cit.cornell.edu may also be affected. This issue has been diagnosed by Cornell staff and has been escalated to the Remedy vendor as a high priority.
