Brief Description:
The IT Security Office is fielding an unusually large number of phishing emails with spoofed addresses that display the recipient in the from address.
Current Status:
The Security Office is still receiving reports of spoofed spam emails as of 11/09/17.

Please be advised that if you field similar reports these may not be cases of compromised accounts. The messages have various subjects, bodies, and links but generally offer some kind of employment opportunity. If you have a question about the status of a user's account based on an email he or she receives feel free to send them to the IT Security Office at security-services@cornell.edu.
