On Thursday evening, a server hardware failure caused the TSM server instances known as "adsm2" and "adsm5" to be unavailable from 11 PM through ~2:35 AM. Backups directed to either of these two server instances may have generated atypical warning/error messages. We anticipate that most backups that were interrupted will have recovered automatically and complete.\n\nIBM has been notified and replacement parts are en route. We will be taking down the "adsm2" and "adsm5" instances Friday morning to replace the hardware that caused the failure.\n\nIf you have any specific concerns about this, please contact the Network Operations Center at 255-9900 and let them know the nature of your concerns.\n On Thursday evening, a server hardware failure caused the TSM server instances known as "adsm2" and "adsm5" to be unavailable from 11 PM through ~2:35 AM.
