Changes are being made to Identity Management systems so that the primary identity affiliation for members of the Cornell community will be easier for them to understand. The current ranking can result in confusion for individuals who have more than one role at the university, for example, someone who has both staff and academic affiliations may have a primary affiliation of either of those, depending on the order in which the appointments were processed. The adjustments being made should result in more straightforward primary affiliations, reducing need to contact support for clarification.
