Microsoft has reported delays in delivery of rich text email that has an object from a PowerPoint or Excel file pasted into the body of the message. Their engineers are working on fixing the issue, and in the meantime advise that anyone who encounters this problem can send the content within an attached PowerPoint or Excel file (rather than putting it into the message) to avoid the delay.
