Full Description:
Due to vulnerabilities and exploits available for various services, on 3/1/10, CIT began a campus-wide scan of several ports to identify and inventory the following services on campus:\n\nWeb servers\nWindows Remote Desktop\nDNS servers\n\nWe have seen quite a few attacks on older Windows services -- IIS 6 and RDP v5, for example. The scans are intended to help identify these services around campus, so we can contact the appropriate network administrators to see what remediation options (patching, ACLs, etc.) might be helpful.\n
