| On Thursday, February 25, we believe the delays occurred due to very heavy usage of e-lists at the same time that the mail gateway was processing an unusually large volume of spam. Some messages appear to have gotten stuck in a queue, which is being cleared. \n\nSeveral root causes appear to have contributed to this issue. | Delays of as much as 1 hour are being observed on email going through @cornell.edu e-lists. These delays appear to have started around 12:30 and are still being observed at 17:00. They are expected to taper off over the next few hours.
