User Impact:
As per the description, following the modification, the subset of Lync users from the early adopter phase who were provisioned when Microsoft had this feature enabled will no longer have the ability to modify their Lync contacts from other Office applications. Those users will have to use Lync to modify their Lync contacts. This is the current state of Lync contact management for the bulk of Lync users and will make everyone's functionality consistent.\n\nNo other change, outage, or impact is expected from this setting modification.\n\nThe bulk of current Lync users are already set to the configuration this change will implement, so they should experience no change. The population affected is a small subset of the early adopter group (about 400 users).
