An issue with a network backbone switch caused a campus network outage of a few minutes. Service has been restored.

| On July 24, network traffic on campus and between campus and the Internet was disrupted from 2:17 to 2:27 pm. \n\nThe cause was a faulty switch that caused a network loop in the core network routers. There was a campus network outage between approximately 2:24 and 2:26 pm when the switch was turned off. By 2:27 pm, the service was back to normal.
