Some students are unable to download Office through Cornell's Office ProPlus program. Reports include problems activating and using this service. CIT is working to fix the issue.

Several different factors connected with the provisioning and downloading of Office by students contributed to this issue. \n\nThe first was caused by some licenses being dropped by Microsoft. These have been restored. \n\nThe second was a lack of awareness that in order for an individual's Student status to be verified and keep Office activated, the computer it's on must connect to the Internet at least around once a month. Additions are being made to the documentation for the service to highlight this point. \n\nFinally, in some cases, some Mac users may not see the Office download option. Support staff are being made aware of this issue and steps that can be taken to fix it should it come up again.
