A different email delivery method is about to be put in place which should ensure the Crime Alert system does not send duplicate messages or fail to deliver a message to any individuals' Cornell email account. Representatives of Cornell University Police, Environmental Health and Safety, and Cornell Information Technologies are working together to address the email delivery issues for this past weekend's Crime Alerts. The group believes it has identified the causes and is implementing immediate fixes and planning a path to a more stable, resilient means of delivery. More details about the long-term solution will be provided as soon as they are closer to finalization.
