| Campus Telephone System Down as of 3:10 AM Saturday, November 7, 2009\n--------------------------------------------------\n\nThe Cornell campus phone system remains down after a power outage that occurred at about 3:10 AM Saturday morning, November 7, 2009.\n\nThe loss of power was caused by a tripped line protection relay on the main campus electric feed. Crews were able to switch to a backup feed and restore power at about 4:45 AM.\n\nCIT crews are on site working to restore the telephone system. \n\nIf you have an emergency, please use a non-campus phone, e.g. cell phone, to call 911. The Tompkins County 911 center will contact Cornell Police.\n\nPlease check http://www.cornell.edu/cuinfo/specialconditions/ for further updates.
