The two hosts providing the appsmtp.mail.cornell.edu service had a service interruption between 9:57am and 10:24am on September 3. This may have delayed mail being sent from services and devices such as copiers, lab equipment, and web applications.

The issue was resolved by 10:24 am on September 3. \n\nMail being sent from services and devices such as copiers, lab equipment, and web applications may have been delayed (or not sent) during the disruption. \n\nStandard email protocol is to queue and retry messages, but some of these mail senders do not provide that service. Mail senders that provide for retry would have experienced a delay in sending. Mail senders that don't would need to have the messages resent.
