On May 5, a new Office 365 Routing Transport Agent was installed. It resolved the issue where duplicate messages were being sent for individuals who forward their Cornell email to another email system. \n\nPlease contact the IT Service Desk (http://www.it.cornell.edu/support/) if you continue to experience any issues with how your email is routed. | On May 5, a new Office 365 Routing Transport Agent was installed. We are currently testing a solution in a test email environment which would eliminate double copies of messages arriving in some email accounts as a first step in deploying a fix to this long-standing issue. There has been no change to the production email system. Two copies of each email continue to arrive for messages from non-Office 365 addresses when the recipient has a mailbox in Office 365 and forwards to a non-Office 365 email account. | We are currently testing a solution in a test email environment which would eliminate double copies of messages arriving in some email accounts as a first step in deploying a fix to this long-standing issue. Now that the Exchange Transport Agent has been re-enabled, some individuals who forward their Cornell email to another email system may (again) see some duplicate messages. It doesn't happen in every case, and many email systems eliminate duplicates so many people don't see the effect.\n\nCIT is working with Microsoft on a resolution that works for both cases. | Now that the Exchange Transport Agent has been re-enabled, some individuals who forward their Cornell email to another email system may (again) see some duplicate messages.
