Apple's newly released iOS 6.1.2 update for iPhone/iPad fixes a known issue with Office 365 and Cornell's Exchange system. If you previously updated to iOS 6.1, please apply this update.

This problem is known to occur with the iOS 6.1 update. If your iPhone or iPad is affected, you may see very slow performance with email or calendar tasks on your device. \n\nA bug has been confirmed by Apple in iOS 6.1 and will be fixed in a future iOS update. The bug is triggered by using your iPhone or iPad to respond to an exception to a recurring calendar event. \n\nApple has posted a workaround to address the issue:\nhttp://support.apple.com/kb/TS4532\n This problem is known to occur with the iOS 6.1 update. CIT has received news reports of issues with iOS 6.1 devices (iPhones and iPads) with Exchange systems. We have also received some preliminary advice from Microsoft. The issues cause performance problems on the Exchange server that may affect all users of the server.\n\n* If you haven't updated to iOS 6/1 yet: Don't update until these issues are resolved.\n\n* If you already updated to iOS 6.1: \n\n - Don't respond to meeting invitations or updates using your iPhone or iPad. Use your computer (Outlook, Mail/iCal, or Outlook Web App) to manage these responses instead.\n\n - It's possible that the Exchange server may block your connection with a message stating the service is unavailable.
